UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Time for the Shoutout Extra Credit.
What do pumpkins, tomatoes and asparagus have in common?
You know what to do. Are they all fruits? Legumes?
Produce? Or vegetables? You`ve got three seconds, go.
The word "produce" sums up many agricultural foods,
and all these are examples of produce.
That`s your answer, and that`s your Shoutout Extra Credit.
<意訳>
A. Fruits, B. Legumes(マメ科植物), C. Produce, D. Vegetables →正解はC.
The noun vegetable usually means an edible plant or part of a plant
other than a sweet fruit or seed.
This typically means the leaf, stem, or root of a plant.
In biology (botany), a "fruit" is a part of a flowering plant that derives
from specifictissues of the flower, mainly one or more ovaries.
